If you are interested in participating, applications will be available at the festival on Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21.  Applications will be accepted until 8:00am on Saturday, June 21st, 2025. The Troll Run begins at 8:30AM.

Troll Run Information

Please Note: The following Event has already passed. The next Festival will be held on June 21, 22, and 23, 2024. We will update next year's schedule later in the year. We hope to see you next year!

The Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival is pleased to announce the 20th Annual “Running of the Trolls” run/walk. 

Participate in a 1.5 mile run/walk, a 3.0 mile run/walk, or a 5.75 mile run, in the beautiful Olney, OR. countryside. 

Proceeds from the race benefit the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival Assoc. Scholarship Fund. 

The race starts at 8:30am, Saturday, June 20, 2026, from the Clatsop Conty Fairgrounds parking lot. Check in is from 7am-8am at the Fairgrounds main entrance. 

Prizes will be awarded to first and second place finishers in the 5.75 mile run. 

Cost: 

  • Option 1:  $25.00 _ Troll Run registration and Troll Run T-shirt
  • Option 2:  $25.00 _ Troll Run registration and 3-day Admission to festival
  • Option 3:  $35.00 _ Troll Run registration, Troll Run T-Shirt, and 3-day Admission to festival.

Parking Fee is not included in the Registration fee. Parking Fee is $5.00 per vehicle for the full 3-day weekend.
